We're looking for an accomplished Regional Business Unit Head for Southeast Asia to join a multi-billion-dollar leader in healthcare and life sciences. Based in Singapore and reporting directly to the President, this C-Suite role offers a significant opportunity to spearhead our injectable product portfolio, overseeing both manufacturing and marketing across diverse markets and therapeutic segments.
Key Responsibilities
Leading Sales and Marketing Operations:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for the entire injectable portfolio across all Southeast Asian markets, ensuring alignment with global objectives and regional nuances.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from market entry to maturity, ensuring sustained revenue growth and profitability.
- Drive aggressive market share expansion and competitive positioning through effective campaigns, pricing strategies, and distribution channel optimization.
Directing New Product Development and Commercialization:
- Lead the end-to-end new product development process within your region, from initial opportunity identification and market assessment to business case development, prioritization, and successful launch.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory affairs, and global marketing teams to ensure a robust pipeline of innovative injectable products that meet unmet patient needs and market demands.
- Develop compelling launch strategies and ensure seamless execution to maximize uptake and market penetration for new products.
Maximizing Existing Business Portfolio Potential:
- Conduct in-depth analyses of the current injectable business portfolio, identifying areas for growth, efficiency improvements, and strategic repositioning.
- Develop and implement targeted go-to-market strategies for key existing initiatives, including lifecycle management, market segmentation, and value proposition enhancement.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize product performance, manage inventory, and ensure consistent supply chain efficiency.
Optimizing Sales Force Productivity and Resource Allocation:
- Conduct regular strategic reviews of sales force structure, capabilities, and performance across the region.
- Implement data-driven models to optimize sales territory design, resource allocation, and incentive programs to maximize productivity and achieve sales targets.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture through effective coaching, training, and performance management, ensuring the team is equipped to meet evolving market demands.
Developing and Implementing Growth Strategies:
- Identify and evaluate emerging market trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped business opportunities within the healthcare and life science sector across Southeast Asia.
- Formulate and execute innovative growth strategies, including potential partnerships, strategic alliances, and diversification initiatives, to unlock new revenue streams and expand the organization's footprint.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring the business unit remains agile and responsive to market changes and technological advancements.
Qualifications
- At least 30 years of experience leading sales and marketing operations within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong preference for sterile injectables.
- Proven experience managing a business of at least USD 1 billion and leading teams of 500+ people.
- Exceptional communication skills and extensive experience managing international teams.
