Job Description
C-Suite Executive Search, a division of RBNC's CXO Search & Interim Services, is dedicated to recruiting top-tier professionals for positions with a minimum annual base salary of USD 250,000 at the global, regional, and local levels.
Our client is a very large, professionally managed, rapidly growing, highly reputed service leader in Supply Chain Services. We've been expanding to Southeast Asia since 2010, seeking to recruit a Head-Taxation to lead the Taxation initiatives. The position reports to the CEO based in New York City supporting Southeast Asia Teams
Key Responsibilities
Ensure tax efficiency by using the most appropriate and tax efficient types of plans
- Evaluate the tax potential risk involved and vet proposals to make them tax-efficient
- Guide additional cost on accounts of tax
- Provide suggestions on new measures to minimize tax
- Advice on regulatory requirements to be complied with
- Advice on risk involved
Review assessments and recommend changes in the existing structure to safeguard potential liabilities
- Identify principal/quantum wise quantum of dispute area
- Identify judicial decisions to support the company's stand
- Consult and discuss with the councils and stock consultants regarding appropriate actions to be taken
Interact with the industry finance committee to resolve industry issues
- Attend finance committee meetings on a regular basis
- Analyze the impact on account of any new change in the regulations or laws
- Engage in in-depth discussions about industry representations at the appropriate forums
- Discuss in detail about uniform policies adopted in the industry
Regular updation of judicial decisions or new regulations to improvise tax efficiency and compliance
- Monitor regularly the daily publishing of supreme court and high court and terminal judgements
- Evaluate all major finance articles affecting the industry
- Implement new advantages into operations after getting it authorized from consultants and industrial practice
Coordinate with marine lawyers for arbitration
- Evaluate the facts of the matter to identify the dispute, strengths and weakness of cases
- Liaison with the lawyers to improve claims and to reduce liabilities
- Discuss operation measures for strengthening claims
- Inform people regarding changes required in the contracts/ procedure
Coordinate with the immediate subordinates and operational staff
- Inform subordinates and operation staff regarding changes in operational requirements in order to ensure proper compliance with regulations
- Inform subordinates and operation staff regarding additional documents required for verification by revenue authorities
- Provide information to the accounting personnel when new levies are imposed for compliance requirements
Qualifications
- At least 25+ years relevant experience of which recent years must be in service organizations
- Must be very strong in strategic & operational initiatives
- Must be willing to work independently
