Our client is one of the largest and most prominent family-owned conglomerates in Thailand, with a diversified portfolio spanning Sugar, Energy, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Education. As part of the strategic growth and commitment to sustainability, we are seeking a visionary C-suite executive to lead the regional raw material development and supply chain strategy across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Raw Material Development will champion the long-term vision and operational execution for the sourcing of core agricultural commodities, including sugarcane, palm, and coconut.

1. Strategic Leadership & Sustainable Supply Chain

  • Visionary Planning: Design and execute a robust, long-term regional strategy for a highly sustainable, resilient, and future-proof agricultural supply chain.
  • Operational Execution: Oversee the successful deployment of critical, high-impact regional projects, balancing high-level strategy with flawless execution.
  • Risk & Cost Management: Actively monitor, optimize, and manage the total cost of the supply chain while ensuring a stable, high-quality raw material supply.

2. Farmer Partnerships & Capacity Building

  • Contract Security: Establish and secure solid, long-term commercial agricultural supply contracts with regional farmer groups and cooperatives.
  • Capacity Cultivation: Implement advanced farmer capacity-building principles to improve yield, quality, and sustainable farming practices.

3. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management

  • High-Level Diplomacy: Build and navigate complex, high-stakes relationships across the entire ecosystem, including corporate partners, NGOs, and government bodies.
  • Regional Representation: Act as the primary ambassador for the Group’s agricultural interests within Southeast Asian markets.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Academic Background: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Development, Agriculture, International Development, or a related field.
  • Track Record: Minimum of 5 years of senior executive experience managing large-scale, international agricultural or economic growth programs within Southeast Asia.
  • Industry Domain: Deep expertise in agriculture, agribusiness management, and end-to-end value chain approaches within the food and commodities industry.

  • Strategic Networking: Proven ability to influence and network effectively at the highest levels of business and government.
  • Analytical Prowess: A highly quantitative, data-driven mindset where "numbers speak." Proven ability to turn complex operational data into actionable executive strategy.
  • People & Culture: Outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record of building, motivating, and guiding diverse, cross-functional regional teams.
  • Cultural Intelligence: Exceptional cultural sensitivity, patience, and flexibility required to navigate diverse Southeast Asian business environments.
  • Communication: Flawless interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English.
  • Mobility: Ready and willing to travel nationally and internationally as required to secure regional operations.
