Job Description
C-Suite Executive Search, a division of RBNC's CXO Search & Interim Services, is dedicated to recruiting top-tier professionals for positions with a minimum annual base salary of USD 250,000 at the global, regional, and local levels.
Our client is a prominent, well-capitalized institutional investment and asset management group backed by premier investors from the United States and Canada. As they accelerate their expansion across the Asia-Pacific region, they are seeking a visionary, high-calibre Chief Marketing Officer to localize and scale their global brand, drive digital client acquisition, and fuel regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – APAC will hold full strategic and operational accountability for the regional brand architecture, marketing P&L, and growth strategies.
1. Strategic Vision & Brand Custodianship
- Global-to-Regional Alignment: Synthesize the group’s global branding philosophies and corporate business strategies into high-impact, localized marketing strategies across APAC.
- Brand Governance: Serve as the absolute custodian of the brand architecture, ensuring positioning remains premium, cohesive, and legally compliant across all regional markets.
- Annual Operating Plans: Develop, secure board-level consensus for, and execute annual marketing and communication operating plans, including full budgetary ownership.
2. Growth Marketing & Digital Transformation
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Design comprehensive Omnichannel strategies (CRM, upselling, lifecycle marketing) to attract, retain, and maximize the lifetime value of investors.
- Digital Excellence: Lead the regional digital marketing transformation, optimizing online platforms to enhance market reach and digital client acquisition exponentially.
- Channel & Trade Support: Drive robust channel support through targeted Below-The-Line (BTL) activities, maximizing brand visibility at the point of sale.
3. Product Integration & Market Intelligence
- Consumer Insights: Command a deep understanding of the Asset Management industry, fueled by rigorous consumer, brand, and product research tailored to the APAC landscape.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Collaborate directly with the CEO, Product Heads, and Channel Heads to architect and execute launch strategies for new product lines.
- Feedback Loop Optimization: Actively gather and analyze field intelligence from business heads and customer-facing teams to continuously optimize fund presence and market penetration.
4. Agency Ecosystem & Public Relations
- Strategic Communications: Oversee all internal and external communication frameworks, protecting and elevating the corporate reputation.
- Agency Management: Negotiate, contract, and audit the performance of Tier-1 media, advertising, branding, research, and PR agencies to ensure maximum ROI and visibility.
5. Leadership & Talent Development
- Team Empowerment: Mentor, coach, and inspire a high-performing regional marketing team.
- Succession Planning: Actively build organizational resilience by cultivating a robust "second line" of leadership and implementing strong talent retention strategies.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Academic Background: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an equivalent post-graduate degree from a premier institution.
- Global Exposure: 25+ years of progressive international marketing experience, with a proven track record of operating effectively within multinational corporate structures.
- Target Sectors: Top-tier experience within FMCG, Telecommunications, Retail, or Retail Financial Services/Asset Management is highly preferred.
Leadership & Competencies
- Digital Native: Expert-level mastery of retail marketing, with a heavy emphasis on digital, performance marketing, and online acquisition channels.
- Commercial Acumen: A cross-functional leader capable of interfacing seamlessly with C-suite stakeholders, fund managers, and distribution channel heads.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional capability in managing complex, matrixed reporting lines between regional operations and US/Canadian headquarters.
- Cultural Navigation: Profound understanding of the diverse consumer behaviors and regulatory landscapes unique to the Asia Pacific market.
